Fans have also seen a mysterious man in the leaked pictures, right behind Superman. He’s wearing an all-black costume with the letter ‘U’ on it and his face covered by a black mask. Many think the ‘U’ could mean he’s Ultraman, an evil version of Clark Kent from Earth-3. Another guess is he might be Ulysses, also known as Neil Quinn, who works with the military against Superman. But there’s no official information yet about the storyline or who the villain is in Superman: Legacy.
A user on X also pointed out that the leaked photo of Superman getting arrested looks similar to a scene from Zack Snyder’s 2016 movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In that scene, the military is escorting Henry Cavill’s Superman, who is also handcuffed.
According to James Gunn, the movie will focus on Superman’s early life when he is trying to mend relationships with his family on Earth and understand his superpowers better.
