CMF Phone 1: Nothing’s subsidiary CMF has announced that it will launch its first smartphone, the CMF Phone 1, in India on July 8. Along with the phone, they will also release the CMF Buds Pro 2 and CMF Watch Pro 2. The company has been gradually revealing the design and features of the CMF Phone 1, generating a lot of excitement among tech enthusiasts.
An official post on X has revealed the design of the CMF Phone 1’s rear camera module. The phone will have two rear cameras in a vertical, pill-shaped module located at the top left corner of the back. Each camera is in its own circular unit, arranged vertically within the module. The camera module is slightly raised and is a different color from the rest of the phone.
The main camera of the CMF Phone 1 will feature a 50MP Sony sensor with an f/1.8 lens. The phone will also support Ultra XDR to improve the quality of photos. Previous teasers suggested that the phone might have a removable back plate, making it easier to access the battery and other internal parts for repairs.
Further details shared on social media reveal that the CMF Phone 1 will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and a powerful 5,000mAh battery, which promises up to two days of use or 22 hours of continuous YouTube streaming.
The phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G chipset, with 8GB of RAM that can be virtually expanded by another 8GB. It will have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.
The front camera will have a 16MP sensor. The phone will be built with an IP52 rating, meaning it has moderate protection against dust and water. It is expected to be priced below Rs. 20,000 and will be available on Flipkart.
With its impressive features and competitive price, the CMF Phone 1 is set to make a strong impact in the Indian smartphone market. The launch on July 8 is eagerly awaited by tech enthusiasts and consumers.

According to Nothing, the CMF Phone 1 will feature a 50MP rear camera with a Sony sensor and an f/1.8 lens. Nothing also provided a preview of the CMF Phone 1’s assembly process, showing components like the in-display fingerprint sensor, speaker, and lower frame. A full reveal of the finalized design is expected in the coming days.
The CMF Phone 1 will come in four vibrant colors:
Black, Orange, Light Green, and Blue. The Black and Light Green models have a subtle texture built into the case, while the Blue and Orange versions feature a vegan leather layer.
